Hand Carved Mask ~ Yellow Jaguar

Hand-cut mask from Guatamala. The jaguar is carved from wood and then hand painted. The beautiful details and many colors make the mask completely exceptional and unique. The jaguar is often used for these masks and has a very special meaning in South American culture.

The masks are used for ritual events and are considered an important element of the South American cultural heritage, like several of our Mexican masks. The masks can be nicely hung on the wall together with pictures as an artistic element and fine detail in the home.
